Introduction to Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy & Learning
An experiential workshop for therapists, mental health workers, teachers and any other interested individuals who are curious about the benefits of EFP/L and who would like further insights into how it works.
No prior horse experience or Mental Health qualification is required. No mental health qualification required. This profound experience is varied and interesting, covering both reflective work and more active approaches. A day of experiential sessions aimed at providing a small taster of what may be possible within this field and signposting the best way for you to move forward and be part of it. The LEAP Model of EFP/L is introduced and time given to discuss the field as a whole.
This workshop is a pre-requisite for the Crossfields Institute Level 5 Diploma in EFP: The LEAP Method and the Crossfields Institute Level 4 Diploma in EFL: The LEAP Method. This introductory day will include both reflective and active experiences with the horses and aims to provide practical insight into the field of EFP/L, whilst facilitating a personal experience for each participant. Attendance does not allow attendees to practice EFL/P.

Places are non-refundable as we keep our group sizes small. Therefore, please be sure the date will work for you before booking.
What shall I wear?
This is an experiential workshop and will be predominantly outdoors, so we suggest layers, a hat, waterproof clothing just in case and sunscreen in summer. Please wear sturdy boots or wellies.
Is lunch provided?
Please bring a packed lunch. Snacks and hot/cold drinks will be provided throughout the day.
Do I need experience/qualifications with horses to attend this event?
No prior experience or qualifications with horses required. No riding involved.
